The incorporation of Apple Music in Tesla vehicles is now officially here. Though it’s not the biggest new feature as other streaming platforms like Spotify and Tidal are already there, we saw Apple Music coming and it has finally been integrated.
Via reports on Twitter, Tesla has come out with a holiday support software – an update that allows its users to access their Apple Music account by logging in directly with their Apple ID.
Tesla has begun pushing the update to its customers, and for the first time we get to see the release notes;
Stream over 100 million songs and 30,000 playlists ad-free. Listen to your entire library, discover new music, and tune into live radio stations. To access Apple Music, tap the Apple Music icon in the Application Launcher, scan the QR code with your mobile device, and login with your Apple ID.
This feature, which has long been craved for by Apple Music users, is now available for its subscribers to install.
Tesla is now known to add newer and bigger updates each year – like last year’s massive update on new video games and UI. Though some features are more often than not, for fun than functionality, this year, the “holiday update” (2022.44.25), comes with Mahjong, Steam and many others. Regular game additions have also been made to its “Tesla Arcade” to enhance entertainment in its vehicles.
To enhance cellular connectivity, all other Tesla applications that have more heavy-data usage in its vehicle would require its users to accede to the premium-connectivity-$10-per-month-subscription.
