Following the first official Game of Thrones fan Convention which took place in LA from the 9th – 11th of this month, the gathering had been at a high level of activity as it graced the appearance of many stars from both Game of Thrones and House of Dragon including Kit Harington (AKA Jon Snow), who has however, raised some concerns among fans.
While he hadn’t officially declared his return to his role, many followers guessed he would formally announce the Jon Snow spinoff series. He has teased the comeback of his character as his comments with reference to the culmination of the series has fans anxious.
In line with Entertainment Weekly, Kit says, “He’s gotta go back up to the place with all this history and live out his life thinking about how he killed Dany, and live out his life thinking about Ygritte dying in his arms, and live out his life thinking about how he hung Olly, and live out his life thinking about all of this trauma, and that, that’s interesting,” Harington put in. “So I think where we leave him at the end of the show, there’s always this feeling of like… I think we wanted some kind of little smile that things are okay. He’s not okay,” he added.

If we remember, earlier this year in an interview with Variety, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) had validated that the Jon Snow series was in progress adding that Kit Harington was the one growing and expanding it on his own.
During an interview with Variety earlier this year, the Game of Thrones star, Emilia, not only confirmed that the Jon Snow series was in development, but that Harington was developing the show himself. “He has told me about it. And I know it exists. It’s happening,” Clarke informed the trade. “It’s been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he’s in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington.”
When asked by The Hollywood Reporter, if he had seen House of Dragon, Kit acknowledged enjoying what the team was able to creatively come up with. Having seen only a few episodes, he equally commended the team on how skillful they were in the manner they took up in carrying on with the licensed story. Here’s what he has to say;
“You know, I’ve fallen off a bit – not because I’m not enjoying it – but just been very busy. But I’m gonna catch up,” Kit says. “I’m sort of halfway through the season. I need to watch the second half, so I’m gonna try and avoid any kind of spoilers. I mean, it’s great. They’ve done a brilliant job with it. I’m really impressed with that show and how they’ve continued it” he added.
So until then, we remain in anticipation of what the team has for us, but with all the controversies surrounding this production, we hope we don’t get disappointed at the end of it all.
