About Nectar Mattress
The Nectar Mattress is an all-foam mattress that is recognized as a good value for its price. It has a relatively budget-friendly price of $799 for a queen-size mattress, but it also comes with a 365-night sleep trial period and lifetime warranty. Additionally, it works well for several sleeper types (side, back or stomach). Its memory foam layers provide pressure relief for light- to average-weight side sleepers while the high-density foam below supports light to average-weight back sleepers.
Nectar Mattress Performance

Firmness
Nectar Mattress is rated between a 6 and a 6.5 on a 10-point firmness scale. This means that the mattress should feel medium to medium-firm because it is an all-foam mattress, it will contour to your body, so you’ll feel more like you are sleeping “in” the mattress and not “on” it.
Height
The Nectar Mattress has three layers in its 12 inches height: a gel-infused memory foam layer, a responsive foam layer, and a 6-inch base layer. You can actually upgrade to the 13 inch Nectar Premier for a thicker mattress or the 14 inch Nectar Premier Copper Mattress, which adds an inch to both the gel and base layers.
Motion Transfer
The Nectar Mattress handles motion transfer excellently, all thanks to its thick layer of slow-moving memory foam. This movement can be felt when your child, partner or pet changes sleeping positions on the mattress. The Nectar Mattress is a good choice for couples because it excels at motion isolation.
Edge Support
Edge support shows how strong the sides of a mattress are. From research, it is said that Nectar mattress has decent edge support compared to similarly constructed mattresses. Although while sitting on the edge of the mattress, the sides may collapse slightly, but this doesn’t happen while sleeping near its edge.
Temperature Control
The Nectar Mattress offers better temperature regulation than many competing memory foam models. Thanks to the comfort layer which is infused with cooling gel intending to draw heat away from the body, and the cover is fairly breathable. However, it is said that some people may still overheat sleeping on the Nectar Mattress, especially if they weigh more than 230 pounds and sink deeper into the foam.
People who typically find foam mattresses too warm may find this model more comfortable while hot sleepers may want to consider a hybrid or innerspring model with coils in the core that naturally promote airflow.
Pressure Relief
Excellent pressure relief is experienced on a Nectar Mattress by average-weight sleepers suffering from back, shoulder, and hip pain weighing 230 pounds or less. Heavier back and stomach sleepers may sink too deeply into the foam leading to added pressure in sensitive areas. On the other hand, side sleepers weighing more than 230 pounds may also find the Nectar mattress comfortable.

The memory foam also gives adequate pressure relief to make the mattress a good choice for side sleepers and those suffering from back and shoulder pain.
Under this, Nectar adds a 4 inches transitional layer of responsive polyfoam designed to add bounce to the mattress so it can adapt to your movements. Despite this, the mattress maintains its memory foam feel. On the bottom is a 6 inches layer of a high-density polyfoam that provides support and structure, which can help prevent sagging and stabilize the entire mattress.

What Does the Nectar Mattress Feel Like?
Nectar Mattress is made of memory foam, giving it a slow-sinking feel that’s typical of all-foam mattresses. It’s not as bouncy as a spring or hybrid mattress, and shapes your body instead.
Nectar rates this mattress a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale, but how the mattress feels to you is totally dependent on your weight. In general, it will feel firmer to light- and average-weight sleepers and softer to heavy sleepers.
Lightweight Sleepers (under 130 pounds)
Lightweight sleepers generally prefer softer mattresses because they provide more support but firmer mattresses can cause pressure points, pain, and stiffness to this sleeper type, especially those who sleep mainly on their side.
Nectar provides a “sleeping in” rather than “sleeping on” feeling thanks to its memory foam build, lightweight sleepers won’t sink in. Nectar recommends that lightweight sleepers choose a mattress that’s rated a 4 or 5 out of 10 on the firmness scale.
Average-weight Sleepers (130-230 pounds)
Memory foam mattresses such as Nectar mattresses are ideal for average-weight sleepers looking for advanced pressure relief. For average-weight sleepers, this foam type provides the right amount of body contouring and support, without sagging and throwing your spine out of alignment.
Heavyweight Sleepers (over 230 pounds)
Generally, memory foam mattresses don’t offer as much support for heavy sleepers as hybrid or innerspring mattresses and it’s more suited to lightweight and average-weight sleepers.
This mattress feels softer to heavyweight sleepers and may dip and sag a bit because heavy sleepers sink into the mattress more entrapping heat.
Nectar Mattress with a thicker side of about 4- to 5-inch comfort layer is recommended for heavy sleepers and it gives ideal support.
