One of the most embarrassing experience is having your phone calling people unexpectedly as a result of butt or pocket dials. This mostly happens when the device is unlocked. Recently Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro users has complained of their phones calling their contacts unexpectedly. Fortunately, we’ve got a way to put a stop to this random unexpected outgoing calls.
How to resolve this issue
Reboot your phone: 9to5Google, states that restarting your phone appears to be good but temporary way to stop Google Assistant from calling your contacts random on your Pixel 6 or 6 Pro for some time until when Google Assistant will start back up again.
To resolve this permanently, you will have to disable Google Assistant when your Pixel is locked — This is to say that you won’t be able to use or access Google Assistant provided your phone stops calling your contact at random.
To disable Google Assistant while your phone is locked, Launch the Google app, select your profile, tap on “Settings.” Then choose “Google Assistant,” select “Lock screen,” then disable “Assistant responses on lock screen.”
Google is aware of this issue and they’re working on it and once they release a permanent fix to this bug, we will update you.
