Discord allows one to be able to manage the text sent with authority. This means that you can format a text as bold, italicized, or even underlined. You can also strikethrough your text when typing on Discord. This means that a line will go through your text giving your text a more clear communication with the user on the other end.
How to strikethrough on Discord
To use strikethrough formatting on Discord, you can enclose the text you want to strike through with double tildes (~~).
Step #1. First, open the Discord app or you can go on the website and log in to your account, then select the channel where you want to send your message with the strikethrough.
Step #2. Click on the text box at the bottom of the screen and start typing the message you want to have a strikethrough effect on. Once you are done typing, surround your text with double tildes (~~) by placing two tildes before and after the text you want to strikethrough.
For example: ~~Google is the best search engine~~
Step #3. Once you’ve done that, hit the Enter key to send your message. Your message will appear in the Discord Channel with the specified text formatted with the strikethrough effect.
