But if someone inputs the PIN thrice, your SIM will be locked and you need a PUK number to unlock it. When your SIM is locked you can’t access the contacts, make calls, send texts, or use the Data.When this occurs you will be asked for PUK code to unlock the SIM card.
Personal Unblocking Key(PUK) code is a special code very different from PIN found in your SIM pack, you can easily get it there, input the PUK code and unlock your SIM.
