    *67 is used to hide your number from someone you want to call. You can use the code to hide your mobile number from showing on the recipient’s call interface.

    This code works on both Android and iOS devices. On the other end, the recipient will see this message if you use *67 to call them; ‘Blocked’ ‘Private Number ‘

    All you have to do is just add *67 before the number you are about to call before dialing it. And you must enter it each time you dial the number.

    This code does not work when you call toll free or emergency numbers.

    What Does *67 Do On Android?

    On Android , use star 67 to hide your number while calling someone. Here’s how to do it:

    Simply add *67 before the number you are about to dial. If it doesn’t work then you can hide your number before calling someone through the settings;

    1. Tap the Phone icon
    2. Locate the search bar on the Phone interface
    3. Tap the three vertically aligned dots which displays a drop down menu
    4. On the menu, select Settings
    5. Tap Calls > Then Additional settings > Tap Caller ID > Tap Hide number if the pop out displays.

    What Does Star 67 Do On iPhone?

    On your iPhone,*67 performs same function. Just add the code before the number you want to call before dialing it.

    If it doesn’t work, then hide number through settings;

    1. Go to Settings
    2. Select Phone
    3. Select Calls
    4. Tap Show My Caller ID
    5. Tap the toggle switch to white if it is green to turn it off.
    6. Outgoing calls will display the message No Caller ID I place of your number.

    Use *67 to call people especially if you don’t want them to call you back after. Let’s say you are calling your business client from your personal line, you might want to hide your Identity.

    Other popular service codes that can help you are;

    • *60 – Block a specific number
    • *66 – Continue dialing a busy number till the line is free
    • *69 – This code will dial the last number that called you, if your landline does not have a caller ID, this code comes in handy.
    • *70 – Deactivates Call waiting feature
    • *72 – Turn on Call forwarding on a landline
    • *77 – Turn on anonymous call rejection to allow incoming calls from people who reveal their number.

    Using *67 to hide your number is legal as long as you are not using it for fraudulent purposes like phishing. You can use it to call someone you met online, someone you want to hide your personal number from, or when you are calling someone for the first time maybe an online lover or just a friend.
