VSCO is an app developed by Visual Supply Company which allows its users to edit their pictures and videos to either post on the app or share on other social media platforms.
It’s mainly a photo editing app with already preset filters and editing tools. Users can use these available editing tools and filters to edit their pictures from their gallery.
VSCO is seen as a competition to Instagram because it shares several features with IG. It’s a well known powerful photo editor with image manipulation abilities, users prefer to use it and edit their images before posting to other sites.
However, VSCO has a social network aspect of it, users can share their photos and also see the ones shared by other people they follow on the app.
But, the app has a strict privacy policies which does not let users see who viewed their pictures on the app. Instagram allows you meet new people and talk to them, you can like and comment on the photos they post. But this is not so for VSCO.
VSCO is primarily for editing photos as there’s no much social interaction been done on the app. Due to its privacy, you can’t see who visits your profile and others won’t know if you check theirs. The app does not track your activities so it can’t notify other people when you view their profile neither will it notify you if another person views yours.
You wont find the like and comment button on the app, you can’t comment either. You can only follow them and share/repost their images.
VSCO is the perfect app for those who don’t want to bother about followers count, number of likes and comments. You only get to post your photos and even though your photo will reach many people, the traffic statistics will not be made known to you.
